AQUAEL offers a broad range of natural aquarium substrates. This line of products includes:
BASALT SAND 0,1-0,5 mm is recommended for aquariums inhabited by timid, bottom-dwelling fish that prefer dark substrates (the fine sand does not damage their skin);
BASALT GRAVEL 2-4 mm is ideal for aquariums inhabited by timid fish that prefer dark substrates;
QUARTZ SAND 0,1-0,3 mm is recommended for aquariums inhabited by bottom-dwelling fish (the fine sand does not damage their skin);
DOLOMITE GRAVEL 2-4 mm is intended for aquariums inhabited by fish that prefer hard alkaline water (such as fish species originating from Lake Malawi, Lake Tanganyika, or Lake Victoria); the gravel stabilizes water parameters;
NATURAL MULTI-COLOUR GRAVEL 1,4-2 mm, 3-5 mm, 5-10 mm will give the interior of your fish tank an attractive natural look.
These substrates (except for dolomite gravel) do not affect water chemistry. They are sold in handy sturdy plastic bags that are well suited for shelf display. Each bag contains 2 or 10 kg of product. Before use, rinse the substrate in running water to remove any suspensions.
